What a Crazy Catholic Schools Week! 8 appearances (2 included mass) over 5 days, from Jefferson City MO to Breese, IL and various stops in-between.
Perhaps the strangest day was Thursday, when Orin’s keyboard went completely dead 5 minutes into our second concert of the day. Pretty much without warning, and would not turn back on for anything. It turned out to be a really fun show, and featured student Alex playing some “air keytar” while Orin made some keytar-like noises into a microphone. Alas, no video, but your imagination is probably better than the real thing anyway.
Friday was good too, what with a stop to WallyBurger and some ski soda after all.
And in Mascoutah that day, we were introduced to a new vision of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. You’ve heard of “Jesus, Gentle Shepherd,” or “Sweet Baby Jesus” and the like? Well, how about “Bring It Jesus”?
Jesus: "What? You want somma dis?" Me: Why yes, Jesus, I would like some of that."
