Oddwalk is excited to announce that we will be offering through our website and at our appearances a few fair trade items for sale. To see the items, including the olive wood cross pictured here (and a bracelet, and a carved flute), click on the cross, and scroll about halfway down the page.
We are partnering with SERRV to do this – they’re the same folks who support Catholic Relief Services. Your purchase of these items gives you the chance to have a direct impact on our global market’s great injustices: the inequality in income and quality of life for people living in developing countries. With your help, SERRV becomes a powerful tool for putting right the imbalance in the world.
Shannon and Orin thought it was important to offer these items and make this a part of our ministry because of our commitment to the social justice mission of the Church, especially the dignity of each human person.
Please let us know what you think of the items, and if you want, poke around the SERRV website, and let us know if there’s anything else you think we should carry.
PS: Stay tuned – there are also some new shirts on the way (pro-tip: GCDC)!
