As part of studies at Aquinas Institute, those preparing for the priesthood have practice sessions for sacramental presiding, including weddings.
Today, Orin and Erin helped a couple of their friends by role-playing brides and grooms. In both instances, Erin was a good Catholic girl, but Orin was once an unbaptized-but-not-antagonistic-toward-Catholicism groom, and the other time a Jew, active in his college’s Hillel (the Jewish student center on most campuses).
Erin decided to get dressed up for the occasion – that is in fact her wedding dress from nearly 4 years ago (it fits better now than back then – way to go, honey!). Orin could only be persuaded to wear a bow tie.
No word yet on where the pretend honeymoon will be.
