Another post thanks to Mike Patin! We had already noticed the comic strip Toothpaste for Dinner, mostly becuase of this keytar-themed panel: Today Mike alerted us to this recent panel, below.  The band looks vaguely familiar, and we may have to start using that line at our appearances:
