Words and Music by Shannon Cerneka
God sends the snow so we will take our lives more slowly;
remember we are holy in his sight
God sends the snow so we will know that we are different,
and we can praise him with the gifts he gave to us.
God sent his son to die for me,
my mother to care for me,
and then my friends and my family to lift me up and be there for me.
My Lord, I would die for you
and may I never hide from you,
but if I do please promise you’ll send the snow.
God sends the snow so we will stop a while and play,
and better celebrate this gift of life.
God sends the snow to help us understand each other,
and see out neighbor as our brother and our friend.
God sends the snow to cover up the messes,
and see how he still blesses each of us
God sends the snow to purify our hearts,
and give us brand new starts along the way.
