Eleven years ago, Oddwalk was booked to lead music at a youth rally for the Diocese of Jefferson City. Our regular bass player was unavailable, though, and we needed a replacement. That’s when Rick, our drummer, introduced us to Dan Lang. Little did we know back then just how well Dan would fit into the Oddwalk universe. This clip is from that first gig, though it never actually shows Dan. The one below is much better. Dan is in the background, stage left.
A few years later, the Oddwalk family grew as Dan started bringing his girlfriend Katie along to gigs. It was clear early on just how perfect she was for Dan. I know that we certainly enjoyed having her around and were not the least bit surprised the day we heard they were engaged.
Last weekend, Dan and Katie were married in a beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wapella, IL. The entire Oddwalk family was able to attend and help them celebrate their special day.
