As most of you know, I (Shannon) am a loyal fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. I’m know my friends would all agree that I would never do anything to hurt my beloved redbirds. That’s why it pains me to make this confession. I may be partially responsible for my team’s recent slump.
If you follow the team, you know that the Cardinals are 3-7 in their last ten games. This despite last night’s win, which is thanks to Joel Piniero’s 3-hit, complete-game shutout.
(sigh) When I went to get in my car yesterday, I took a look at the grill and saw this:

Cardinal Nation, please know that I am deeply sorry and will work to make sure tragedies like this don’t happen again. If it’s any consolation, I’m going to run over the first cub I see that darts in front of my car.
