So, our beloved St. Louis Blues find themselves now down 2-0 in their series with the Vancouver Canucks. Where is the scrappy team that was so hot the last month of the season – the team that had no chance at the playoffs 6 weeks ago? Well, at least we’re returning home for a couple games to straighten things out.
Clay Imoo, with whom we had placed a friendly wager on the game a couple posts ago, has already begun the gloating over on his site. Elsewhere on the internet, folks have begun wondering if we’ll learn the bilingual version (good idea, Clay’s Facebook friends!), or accompany ourselves with the keytar – both fine options.
However, we all know it ain’t over ’til it’s over. And, perhaps there are omens to support an eventual Blues victory in round one. It seems Clay got a piece of steak stuck in his windpipe the other night – just after agreeing to our friendly wager! He’s okay now, but he promises to have more up on his blog this weekend. We’ll see if that falls under the category of bad omen, instant karma, or just bad luck soon enough.
Let’s go Blues!
PS – If you check below, you’ll note we categorized this under “Baseball.” That’s because we already had that set up as a category, and were too lazy to add a “Hockey” Category. I mean, really, why would we really need one of those? Isn’t that something they play in, where was that again? Canada? Right.
