\"\"<\/a>The Vatican has released a set of ‘commandments’ for driving safety. There are probably a lot of other things the Vatican could be spending its time on that are more important than this, but we don’t get to make those kinds of decisions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Ten Commandments” for drivers, as listed in the document, are:<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

1. You shall not kill.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

2. The road shall be for you a means of communion between people and not of mortal harm.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

3. Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen events.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

4. Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of accidents.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

5. Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination and an occasion of sin.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

6. Charitably convince the young and not so young not to drive when they are not in a fitting condition to do so.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

7. Support the families of accident victims.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

8. Bring guilty motorists and their victims together, at the appropriate time, so that they can undergo the liberating experience of forgiveness.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

9. On the road, protect the more vulnerable party.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

10. Feel responsible toward others.<\/em><\/span><\/div>\n
