Sometimes, even in our Christian workplaces, we can find these sorts of people:<\/p>\n
The nosy secretary, that faithful parish magistrate,
\nAnd we all re-a-lize that the true power lies
\nWhere only quilters congregate.
\nThen there’s the new seminarian eager to share the truth he’s found.
\nWhen such as these suck out the joy, Though well meaning, they annoy!
\nSo let our prayer now loudly resound:<\/p>\n
We are as one in God’s Spirit; we are as one in the Lord.
\nYet sometimes we’re led to a feeling of dread
\nBy someone who just can’t be ignored.
\nSometimes there’s one certain person, who just can’t seem to get along.<\/p>\n
Orin: And whenever it’s you\u2013 Shannon [interrupting]: Hey, it might be you too!<\/p>\n
Orin: The guy who never showers.
\nShannon: The guy whose breath smells like bleu cheese.
\nOrin: There’s this one guy I know, who eats the yellow snow.
\nShannon: There’s this one guy with dandruff and fleas.<\/p>\n
Orin: The guy whose guitar sounds like a dying giraffe.
\nShannon: The guy with no musical talent whatsoever.<\/p>\n
Orin: Shannon, you are a stage-hogging waste of human flesh with a diseased muskrat for a goatee, your voice sounds like a mix between Yoko Ono and a blender on puree, you’re ugly, stupid, annoying, and I wish you were never born!<\/p>\n
Shannon: (Stunned, then weeping)
\nOrin: I’m sorry, man.
\nShannon: I’m sorry too\u2014
\n(Both hug. After the hug lasts a little too long:)
\nShannon: Let go of me.
\nOrin: Okay.<\/p>\n
We know there’s pain in our differences, this pain can keep us apart.
\nWhile we build up our walls, Our God to us calls
\nSaying we should have a true change of heart.
\nThere is a reason for everything;
