You can feel it when you roll into town

\nA majestic skyline
\na magnificant lake
\njust take your breath away
\nA greater city could nary be found
\nand for some a home it makes.
\nBut if I had to live in a town with the Cubs

Every country, every race
\nare represented well up there
\na blending of cultures where ideas are born
\nit’s a wonderful atmosphere
\nBut then there’s the Cubbies who don’t seem to fit
\nin a city where successes abound
\nIt’s a ballclub that’s failed for dozens of years
\nto bring the World Series to town.<\/p>\n
Maybe it’s not very decent of me
\nI guess I’ve been a little bit cold
\nAfter all my mother always told me
\nnot to pick on less fortunate souls
\nMaybe the Cubs have been labeled unfairly
\nMaybe they will have their day
\nYou see I’m convinced they’d be much better suited
\nPlaying down in Triple-A.<\/p>\n
